@deha: I agree, with the write api plugin you should be able to solve your problem. There is even a python library available: https://pypi.python.org/pypi/pynodebb/. It is quite old but still works with up to date nodebb. Unfortunately, not all api calls are yet implemented, but it is easy (and quite obvious) to extend it.
This could be for anyone, but for an admin specifically... we are posting some content that some people don't want notifications on. We know which content this is and would happily mark it as "don't notify" when posting to allow it to go into "unread" or whatever, but not to email anyone. Is there any way to do this? Or to suppress notifications for an entire category to basically do the same thing?
@julian Thanks, I'm aware of suggested topics, we're already using that but it gets topics from other categories too. Which doesn't work when you just want to focus on certain type of topics (a category) only.
