Spam Control Options

nodebb getting many spam posts.

1- what plugins does the nodebb site use?

2- what should users install for better spam control?

@charles spam be gone plugin, of that, nodebb uses the honeypot database, and as of a few hours ago, akismet, the plugin also contains captcha (not worth using). There's also a Q&A plugin, but that wouldn't work here due to not everyone being fluent enough in English to fill out / understand the question.

Yes, as @a_5mith said, we unilaterally recommend the spam be gone plugin.

Enabling Honeypot and Askimet on this plugin will stop the types of spam you're seeing on your forum.
