So basically, you can spend a little bit more to build or get a gaming PC instead of the PS5 Pro.

So basically, you can spend a little bit more to build or get a gaming PC instead of the PS5 Pro. What a joke this is. https://www.theverge.com/2024/9/10/24167932/ps5-pro-sony-specs-announcement

@joeo10 you're not spending anywhere near $700 for a gaming PC that can do 4k 60 fps. Not gonna happen.
MAYBE 3x that much. But be realistic.

@BeAware The big advantage of PCs are mods and it's a bit more open. Also, 4K PC gaming is not that far away and we're going to see that eventually.

@joeo10 it's possible, but for no less than $2k at minimum.
I was just saying your comparison is far from correct. $700 for this type of device is a steal.

@BeAware @joeo10 That said a 700ish pc likely would play most of the stuff out or coming out, but many would be at lower resolution or lower fps. The actual joke is the PS5 has barely hit it's limit if it actually has and had about a 2 year lag time getting go due to shortages. It's ridiculous to drop a pro right now when we had a couple of games that also weren't dropped for PS4 as well? Unless one had been waiting there is next to no reason to buy it.
