So I have a question for people who are familiar with rigging / sculpt posing.
I have a model I'm working on and I originally wanted to avoid doing a rig as I have a lot of layers on the character (backpacks, objects attached, etc) and would prefer to not deal with having to make a "good rig" for these elements.
The problem I have is that the mesh uses a multires modifier which doesn't work with shapekeys. Additionally, the mesh is composed of many parts.

So Q1: What's the ideal way to pose a non-game ready character for rendering in Blender today? Q2a: If it is rigging, does anyone have any advice for rigging many layers of a character (backpacks, straps, etc) Q2b: If it's posing via sculpt mode, how do I work on many parts all at once and is there a way to use shape keys with multires mod?
