So, this commercial solar installer, @CommercialSolarGuy came to #Mastodon during the major #TwitterMigration but like so many others went back since so many of his colleagues stayed there shortly afterwards.

Well, I just noticed that he announced on that foul site that he's had enough with the racist and Nazi crap on that website so has now chosen #BlueSky
That's cool, I hope that it works out well and I hope that he federates his account, but if enough people follow his account here...?

@GreenFire - hah, thanks for the support Kevin.
I actually hadn't left twitter yet, because I wasn't ready to do the work to get Bluesky/Mastodon in place. Trying to be professional in my social media use.
Recently, I've been getting more and more attacks from misinformation people - then saw the Brazil ban, and the potential European ban, and decided to go...and picked Bluesky because a few people I learn a lot from are there.
Would love to see a tool crossing these federation platforms...

@CommercialSolarGuy
Glad to help, I'm following people like @costasamaras.bsky.social on here so you can ask him how he federated and whether he can see my replies etc.I've had a few people from Threads kind of interact with my replies.

@GreenFire @costasamaras.bsky.social - can all people be followed automatically on federated platforms, or does the user have to manually share?
I have fleeting memories on the federated world and its abilities and limitations…
