@chris I can confirm this is real. Accessing from Seattle WA, both singular and plural “Democrat” is blocked, but “Republican” is not.

You can still search for Democrat as a tag, but the results skew negative (like “democrats suck”), which is not the case for the word Republican. This could just reflect what people post though.

Also blocked is the word “fascism”, but weirdly not “Republican Fascism”. Can’t explain that one.
