@[email protected] Sure, and that's totally reasonable. I just have a really tough time understanding how anyone is shocked at anything they do - I firmly believe they should have been shut down a long time ago. I used to believe this was due to lawmakers being slow to respond and act on internet-related things they don't understand, but we've also seen, at least in the US, if they want to pass bizarro laws to limit things online, it can be done quickly.

@brendan there seems to be some fluidity happening with people's results. (note the BBC article I updated the post with this morning says it has been widely reported and insta has acknowledged it... I'm certainly not convinced it is purely 'technical’)

@chris I'm in France and I use a modded Instagram (Instander)
When I search the hashtag Republican, the search bar indicates the number of publications and I can see them all.
When I search Democrat, I can see the publications too but there is some kind of lag before showing the results and the search bar doesn't display a thing, no suggestion, no number of publications.
