You know I didn't expect a phone call at 6:00 AM about voting for #KamalaHarris & #TimWalz against #DonaldTrump & #JDVance to protect " #Democracy ", while they don't give a damn about people from #Palestine literally being sent to a fucking Holocaust ...

On the oxygen mask comment, I do need to stress, a lot of marginalized groups are really relying on Kamala Harris to win this election, simply so we can stay in the public space and not become further embattled on our own rights....and we are some of the most hardcore supporters of Peace in Palestine and environmentalism.
If Trump wins, I don't think we'll be able to keep showing up like that. That is simply a reality.
"Withholding your vote" in protest isn't going to do anything other than help Trump get elected.
By not voting for Kamala Harris, you're throwing your own allies under the bus.
We need to protect ourselves before we can go out and protect other people.
...and once again, I have followed both candidates, and have no doubt Kamala Harris will be open to de-escalation while Trump will most definitely make everything worse.

I agree wholeheartedly that Netanyahu and his cronies are a serious problem. I have been against them since he was elected in the 2000s. Before I became disabled, I went to protests against them, and advocated directly to people within the government to withhold support.None of that is being argued against by anyone.
The argument here is whether throwing away your vote is going to at all help Palestine, in an election where one candidate says he wants to shoot protesters and wipe out the palestinians, while the other candidate keeps talking up the right to protest when protesters show up at her own rallies, and has repeatedly signaled that her patience has run out with Netanyahu, and is a member of the party where at least 2/3 of the representatives would be up for much stronger measures to press for a ceasefire, AND when the ability of your own allies (queer, jewish, and other marginalized groups) rides entirely on the outcome.
Don't throw your own movement under the bus.

You keep linking this stuff, as if we haven't already read it all, but it only makes it more clear you don't want to listen. And I think that is the problem that is destroying the Peace in Palestine movement right now: y'all don't want to listen to what your Queer allies are saying, what our Jewish allies are saying, or even what Palestinians are saying.
Y'all just want to be angry and pretend that you're actually going to be involved, and I seriously wonder how many of you have actually gotten out and done something.
Once again, all we are asking you to do is stop shouting over us, and stop throwing us under the bus.
Stop throwing queer people under the bus. We are your allies.
Stop throwing Jewish people under the bus. They are our allies.
Stop throwing Palestinians under the bus. They are the group the rest of us are aiming to protect.
We have all literally been begging you for months to just stop for 5 seconds, listen, and think about what we are saying.
