No, seriously: overuse of CWs is an accessibility issue.
Demanding that others overuse CWs is a diversity, equity, and inclusion issue.
Trying to solve this by getting individuals on board with mass posting is missing how and where power rests in this equation.
This doesn't mean CWs aren't useful, it does mean that yelling at people to "CW EVERYTHING" is not helpful and the entire culture around this is has historically been _incredibly_ harmful.

@hrefna thinking about this one time we saw someone yelling at JWZ to CW spiders because their partner has a huge phobia, and we're like "if we were your partner we would be annoyed that you're broadcasting one of my triggers to the entire world"

@hrefna somewhere out there is a universe where mastodon just let the subject be a subject line, and it's probably a slightly nicer place

@hrefna Hashtags are better than CW any day of the week.

Another diversity, equity, and inclusion issue is using initials and acronyms and chat abbreviations instead of spelling out full words that Text To Speech readers can say out loud. KWIS?

@fairhavenguy Clever. Nice attempt to derail. Peace.
