@hachyderm hi friends, I just joined your lovely server and my Bluesky follows are stuck in limbo. Is that something you're doing or is the issue related to the bridge?Thank you!

Thank you! -
@Beeks @hachyderm I believe this is likely because your bridged account has zero followers on bluesky, therefore Bridgy Fed isn't federating content, because it'd be unnecessary, at least, that's my guess: https://fed.brid.gy/docs#fediverse-what
cc @snarfed.org can you clarify?
-
@thisismissem @hachyderm @snarfed.org I mean the people I follow on Bluesky from Mastodon are all hung up like this, including the bridgy account even though it followed me back and sent me the DM saying I was bridged.
-
@Beeks @hachyderm @snarfed.org yeah, just following people on bluesky doesn't make them bridged, they have to opt-in to it
-
@thisismissem @hachyderm @snarfed.org yup, I was following these people on my prior Mastodon instance successfully. It all went sideways when I moved to this instance.

@Beeks @hachyderm @snarfed.org maybe it's due to the Move of your account?
-
@thisismissem @hachyderm it's my assumption but I moved instances prior and had no issues which makes me assume this instance has it blocked, though I can find no confirmation anywhere one way or the other.

Hey, sorry for the trouble! This is probably because your account here is less than two weeks old, which Bridgy Fed uses as a spam filter. Apologies, it should obviously communicate that better. Try unfollowing and re-following those accounts after midnight 10/17 UTC.
Fediverse account migrations aren't officially supported right now, but I'm glad to hear your first one worked!
And hachyderm.io isn't blocking Bridgy Fed afaict, I don't see any brid.gy domains on https://hachyderm.io/about in the Moderated servers section at the bottom.

@snarfed.org correct, Bridgy Fed should work fine on Hachyderm (I'm bridged)
Thought it might be something non-obvious like this.
