remember in the mid 00s, people would say 'oh a business that makes money entirely on its own without raising money and burning a billion dollars is a *pfft* lifestyle business*

i feel like there's a worker-version of it where many people are unable to comprehend how some jobs work outside that narrow environment

@mcmullin haha, there is very little humanity in tech now. Gonna be hard to relate
