Everybody on Bluesky agrees federation / decentralization sucks and Mastodon requires a degree in nuclear physics to use. They don't seem to realize Bluesky aims to be decentralized as well and get very angry when you point it out.
Like, it's okay if they want to avoid Mastodon because of its racist tech guy sea lion reply guy brigades, but they don't have to justify being on Other Twitter by pretending Mastodon is "too hard." It starts to irk me after a while.

@gwynnion I remain convinced that "decentralization is too complicated" is a familiar proxy complaint for the actual problem, which is that there's no way to get the information you need to actually evaluate the choice of which server to sign up for. People can tell it matters, but not how or why, and they can't figure out what would make one choice better or worse than another.
But there's a computer involved, so the familiar way to express that frustration is "too complicated technology."
