But, here’s the thing: Trump supporters ARE garbage. Fascist, low information, garbage. -

@Joe_Hill To me, getting into shouting matches – which are all about dominance – isn't really helpful here. I'm honestly glad to leave the mudslinging to that group of folks and not to answer them in kind. That doesn't mean that I think we shouldn't push back hard, but that I think we need to consider the tools we use as we do so so that we don't become a mirror image of them. And I also suspect I'm not blameless when it comes to name-calling.

@Flowermob I agree. And it should also be noted that universities and colleges in general have been, for some years now, weaking their liberal arts curriculum and turning themselves into vocational schools of a sort.

@wdlindsy guess that makes Trump the garbage man of the world. I really wish he’d stop banging those cans so loudly.
Isn’t trashing your country at every turn the exact opposite of patriotism? Reagan, love him or hate him, would have been appalled by Trump, as should all republicans. I despise Reagan-omics, but he believed in America, for better or worse. I can’t say what Trump believes in. I only know what he hates. He clearly loves the sound of his own voice.

@pcbeard I think we're all ready to stop hearing the garbage cans bang! You're right, Trump is and always has been the antithesis of a patriot. And that makes the choice of a party that has claimed exclusive ownership of patriotism to run him as a candidate quite something.
