@alive i appreciate you outlining this! i think i share in your approach to thinking about how to manage those who would use it in a for-profit manner. my naive ass wasnt even thinking about the way open source shit might be used by companies. i was just stuck in the land of "wow i love people coming together to make accessible tools for the public"

@wanderingdeer @alive yeah, tech companies exploit that naivete to bring about the conditions that lead to vulnerability attacks like a small compression library being compromised by a plausibly nation-stare backed hacker or a software company creating their own definition of open source that doesn't align with the FSF.
