I know it's probably down to the refreshing of the live preview every time a new character is added, however when you embed an iframe or an image, it repeatedly reloads. It's probably a tech limitation of how the live preview works, but, just wanted to create a discussion on it. 
Yes, this is an issue we've noticed, but a solution is harder to come by than expected.
You'll notice that Ghost suffers from this as well. The post editor (which eerily looks like ours :wink2:) refreshes every time a character is typed.
We've implemented a throttler, at least, so the preview doesn't refresh until you stop typing (more or less)...

@julian you've got a cult following. 
The issue with it not updating until you stop typing is sometimes when typing emoticons is the preview looks like :laughi while the composer has the full code, so sometimes it's a bit out.

Upon inspection, it does seem that the images aren't re-added every time something is typed... that's neat, I wonder how they do it...
I've heard they're nice guys, could be worth asking them?
