Did you see my last message, i will close activitypub in my main channel and leave only zot nomad. did you read this (about the problem my site has with activitypub)? @silverpill
Does mitra also do this? Because really my problem is not the delivery of messages, but what happens immediately after, and that sends my site into a coma. -
@elvecio Yes, I saw your message. Mitra doesn't fetch
replies
collections automatically, only on demand. Mastodon probably doesn't fetch them either.
Maybe it's FediFetcher? -
@silverpill is there a way to see this FediFetcher in my logs in my site?
-
@elvecio I don't know. Never used it
-
@elvecio It seems that Mastodon now fetches
replies
collection, I can see this in my logs too -
-
@elvecio Some user agents report Mastodon version 3.5.3. But I never observed this behavior before
-
If memory serves me correctly, Mastodon has a "thread unroller" based on the replies property. This means that if "replies" is an URI and not an embedded object. This URI will be fetched. There is then some follow up logic to decide to fetch further posts. I've not dug deeply into it.
Also Mastodon always fetches the replies collection when I post and host done so since I implemented it.
