Tennessee update: He’s acting fairly normal but still not eating. At the vet now; best guess is a liver infection, treated with antibiotics, but we need to get him eating first. (He’s lost a lot of weight and cats don’t do well on antibiotics on an empty stomach.)
So more fluids, more anti-nausea meds, more appetite stimulant — and blood work.

Update: Almost certainly a liver infection, treated with a month’s worth of antibiotics. If I can get Tennessee to eat in a couple hours (after the meds the vet gave him have time to work) and then keep down an antibiotic about an hour and a half later, we’ll probably be good with just home care. If not, it’s back to the emergency vet for IVs and overnight care (and an ultrasound) to get him on the road to recovery.

Another update: Tennessee's already eating! Gave him one of his old favorites and he ate! Not a lot yet, but the first he's eaten since Tuesday afternoon.
