Maybe this or next week will finally be the one where I switch to Vivaldi.

@mahryekuh Ah that's unfortunate. If it weren't for Firefox I too might have been a Vivaldi user. Ungoogled Chromium sounds nice in theory, but if I recall correctly it also strips out Google Cast support.
I hope that https://ladybird.org/ turns out a success. It's an interesting project.

@superblox Yeah. I'm pretty excited that we might get more browsers again. On the one hand, it's an absolute disaster for compatibility, but on the other hand, we need to break this Chromium near-monopoly.

@mahryekuh I’m team Vivaldi.
Workspaces, Profiles, Cmd + E for switching between things and the all important “close other tabs” command.
!!!
But/and/however/watch out/here be dragons: Cmd + Shift + C (select element) DOES NOT WORK…!
Love to hear how web devs web dev with @Vivaldi!

@mahryekuh Maybe give it another try? It works fine with other password managers of course
On macOS it’s the fastest browser (as far as I know), it’s generally just a very fine browser with no real downsides.

@kevinrenskers Nah, I have disliked Safari for too long to even want to repair this relationship.
-
@mahryekuh How do you get the equivalent level of blocking as uBlock Origin?
-
@caleb I’m not the one to ask; I have no idea yet.

Try mapping the keyboard shortcut to "Toggle Developer Tools" command in Settings > Keyboard > Window.

An easier developer setup was something I was missing.
I updated all the web page menus (under Appearance) so as not to show the developer tools as a sub-folder in two profiles. I was initially overwhelmed by the settings, so it was good to have an old forum post explaining this.
