Of course having finally bitten the proverbial bullet and finally got a window vac the overnight drop in temps failed to produce any first test scenario. Maybe just wasting money on it is enough if a deterrent. #life #condensation #household

@keefeglise @emsquared we got some "magic cloth" and cut 1.5" strips to run along the bottom of the glass and they at least stop the sill getting soaked between vac or wipe. With the karcher vac (my mother in law has) I want to scrape upwards, as down only pushes more moisture and drips down, but it can't work upside down. Stonking big dehumidifier in the kitchen and living room combined usually does the trick over 2 litres a day it reclaims so that's not going into walls/furnishings either

@keefeglise I will no doubt report findings. After much prevarication I bought a Leifheit (German manufacture). No doubt the morning condensation will soon return.

@spytfyre @keefeglise This Leifheit will work upside down apparently. Got a dehumidifier. They are well worth having (ours is a dessicant type) My frugalness with heating doesn't always help. Actually saw windows that have heated edges and a kit to fit but daft money so window vac it is for now.
