...no? This is specifically referring to things like fanfiction. Haters rarely actually write fanfiction - you'd have to be really dedicated to despise a work enough to devote hours of your life to writing in its universe. Fanfiction is generally quite earnest and made with love for the original work.

The number of times I've been spoiled for looking up a characters r34 page is not 0.
Usually it's a transformation or lost limb, but sometimes you can be spoiled about deaths or the bad guys joining the good guys. -
On episode 500ish of One Piece and the internet is not safe. Seriously long series with no end

Good luck friend. I had to read to read the manga to avoid spoilers. I was seeing too many YT thumbnails giving things away.
I'll give an example from the end of water 7, somewhere around ep 200-300
::: spoiler It's like finding out Franky joined the crew while he's still a bad guy in the anime.
