Took apart the espresso machine this morning as it seemed to be leaking. Solenoids and valves were clean, but one seemed jammed, so I freed that up. It's still making occasional weird noises, but its internals are an absolute jungle of wires and tubes, so I'm not going to fuck about beyond my capability.
It's been in the garage for 8 months as it's taken that long for me to get to it. The espresso repair business in the Bega Valley doesn't touch this brand (Breville Oracle).
It may have to come to Melbourne with me in a few weeks if the leak recurs.

@trib citric acid solution and a squirt of dishwashing detergent into the reservoir, run that through all the possible outlets. Leave that sit for a little while, then flush with clean water.

@jpm oh, I flushed the bejeezus out of it. Your suggestion might be next if it continues making odd noises.

@trib def buy a bulk lot of citric acid from eBay or something, MUCH cheaper than from the supermarket
