Custom Fields is good, but it also brings the issue of user privacy leakage.

Can it be hidden like an email,

or set to only display for I followed user,

or provide more hiding options?

Or, is it possible to make it simpler, such as displaying only when the mouse hovers over it, and blurring it otherwise;

or more complex, using <canvas> to draw, where viewing requires consuming reputation points?

Right now our thinking is that custom fields are configurable by the admin and set by the end user.

Theoretically SSO plugins could set these values as well but that is unexplored at current.

You can restrict which users can set the fields via the reputation restriction, but there were no plans to hide display of fields from users.

Perhaps that is something we could add, let's see what @baris thinks.
