@chaosyamyt it seems this is the repo for that:
You could try to check it out into the "node_modules" directory and then activate it in the admin-interface.
Is it implemented by plugin?
@psychobunny Can you give me any instructions? Thanks!
@a_5mith Thanks, I just found that, so I have to change the source code. Maybe let share menu can be changed in setting will be better.
@main Why? There's nothing to customise. It does what it says, it shares to Facebook, Google and Twitter. If you want to add more social networks, then you would have to either create a plugin (think that's possible) or change source.
@a_5mith So if I want to remove Facebook, Google and Twitter, then add other social network, I can just write a plugin? I'm sorry that I'm a little confused. Because If I don't change the source code, the only way I can remove all of that is to disable share function. But after that, can I still add other one?
I didn't read how to write plugin carefully, so if you know any information about that , please tell me, thanks!
@main Well you can hide the facebook twitter and google+ with CSS, it's hacky but should work. As for how to add more, I couldn't tell you, however looking at the code, you could just create new handlers for it. But don't take my word for that.
@a_5mith Ok, thanks, I'll have a try
Yeah, the "share via social network" was one of the first features I added to NodeBB... this was before we had a templating engine, plugin system, theming engine, or admin panel
A lot has changed since then, but this bit of code definitely hasn't... that's why it feels so hardcoded.
@julian That's fine, thanks for your great work, I'll change the source code for now
Heh, found it! gh#35
Implemented exactly one year ago... what are the odds!
Hi Admin, I found that also. I hope that NodeBB can create a plugin hook for extending the share menu, without other developers use some CSS hack to hide it or what. Good for future forum upgrades, because future upgrades may overwrite the custom changed code in the core system.
