Yeah, that's my question. I think NodeBB has a ton of potential for the future.

I am the admin of a private small online poker forum based on Simple Machines (SMF) software.

I would love to move to NodeBB but I have some issues.

First of all, we need to post hand histories on the forums.

Sites like http://www.handconverter.com/ don't offer output format NodeBB, obviously.

I am not a coder, so that sucks.

Also, I'm not sure where to host this.

What do you guys think? Any players in da house? 😄

It converts poker hand histories (text exported from poker tracking software, ie Holdem Manager, Poker Tracker) to a readable format for phpbb, html, etc so that it shows diamonds, clubs, spades, hearts and other info players need to review a hand and give feedback. For instance, instead of showing Ad (Ace of diamonds) it shows an A and replaces 'd' with a small diamond image.

    Example:

This is how a hand looks on nodebb:

    PokerStars Hand #106299361024: Hold'em No Limit ($0.05/$0.10 USD) - 2013/10/31 16:45:12 EET [2013/10/31 10:45:12 ET]
Table 'Kacivelia' 6-max Seat #1 is the button
    Seat 1: heumo147 ($9.19 in chips)
Seat 2: OJIADUIIIEK ($10 in chips)
Seat 4: Asymbolus ($18.03 in chips)
Seat 5: the Gkey ($10 in chips)
    Seat 6: kutyalab2 ($14.13 in chips)
    OJIADUIIIEK: posts small blind $0.05
    Zhanben: is sitting out
    Asymbolus: posts big blind $0.10
    *** HOLE CARDS ***
    Dealt to Asymbolus [Td Js]
    the Gkey: folds
    kutyalab2: folds
    heumo147: calls $0.10
    OJIADUIIIEK: raises $0.30 to $0.40
    Asymbolus: calls $0.30
    heumo147: calls $0.30
    *** FLOP *** [3d Ts 7c]
    OJIADUIIIEK: bets $0.80
    Asymbolus: calls $0.80
    heumo147: raises $7.99 to $8.79 and is all-in
    OJIADUIIIEK: folds
    Asymbolus: calls $7.99
    *** TURN *** [3d Ts 7c] [Ah]
    *** RIVER *** [3d Ts 7c Ah] [7h]
    *** SHOW DOWN ***
Asymbolus: shows [Td Js] (two pair, Tens and Sevens)
    heumo147: shows [5h 6h] (a pair of Sevens)
    Asymbolus collected $18.70 from pot
    *** SUMMARY ***
    Total pot $19.58 | Rake $0.88
    Board [3d Ts 7c Ah 7h]
Seat 1: heumo147 (button) showed [5h 6h] and lost with a pair of Sevens
Seat 2: OJIADUIIIEK (small blind) folded on the Flop
Seat 4: Asymbolus (big blind) showed [Td Js] and won ($18.70) with two pair, Tens and Sevens
Seat 5: the Gkey folded before Flop (didn't bet)
Seat 6: kutyalab2 folded before Flop (didn't bet)

And this is how it looks on phpBB, SMF etc

Looks like this can be done as a plugin which would take the content and replace all the special tags and stuff with their images. nodebb-plugin-poker 😛

Was about to suggest that. A plugin would be perfect for this, no website translation step required.
