@mike I'm dreading the day that they roll out manifest v3 on Vivaldi. For me, it's by far the best browser out there and having to move back to Firefox will feel like a regression.

@rapidscampi I was concerned about it when I first heard, but I did some comparisons with my personal web activity and I'm less worried now. I compared Firefox with uBlock Origin to Vivaldi just using its integrated ad/tracker blocking, and for how I use the web, Vivaldi was still better at blocking ads and trackers. Vivaldi's integrated ad/tracker blocking won't be impacted by the move to Manifest v3, so Vivaldi will still have exceptional ad blocking capability even after the roll out.

@mike @rapidscampi As a test, I just disabled uBlock Origin and enabled the ad blocking built-in to Vivaldi. To be honest, I've not really used it so I want to see how well it works just in case the day comes where uBlock will no longer work.

@cmccullough @mike @rapidscampi It actually works very well, I never installed uBlock Origin on any of my desktops because I forgot honestly to grab it.

@jnv @mike @rapidscampi @Vivaldi So far, in my testing, Vivaldi's built-in ad blocking is working really well.
-
@jnv @mike @rapidscampi @Vivaldi It's been working really well but still missing the blocking of some ads on some sites. Is it possible to tweak it somehow?

@cmccullough I make sure to select every source in the browser settings except the non english countries options.
YouTube ads get skipped and never played and the video starts playing in a couple of seconds. But most of the time, I copy a youtube link and paste it in to FreeTube or NewPipe.
