Threads are accessible to guests although guests have no permissions

Hi,

[I'm a bloody nodeBB - newbie]

Using NodeBB - Version: 3.6.3
Database: redis
Webserver: haproxy + nginx

What I did:

• I revoked all privileges from "guest" (=globally and form all categories, using ACP -> Manage -> Permissions)
• I use copy+paste a URL from a logged-in user into another browser (which is not logged into my nodebb)

What I expect to happen:

• An Error message stating that the user has no access to the content or alike.

What actually happens:

• The thread still shows up.

Did I miss to configure anything?

The problem is solved. It was a configuration/user error from my side.

I added a category later on and did not remove the guest-privileges from this category. And coincidentally this was the category, I experienced the reported behaviour with. After fixing the permissions, all is fine now.

Can you show us the admin panel settings? Did you press save after altering the privileges?
