Is it possible to change 'categories' ?

I don't really like the word 'categories'. I'd prefer 'zones' or 'forums'. Is it possible to change this? It looks like it should be possible from within the Navigation page, but I've tried changing a few things and nothing works. Thanks so much in advance.

Are you looking to just change the text? You can update the "text" field to show whatever you'd like.

Changing the actual route name /categories is possible, but I don't think it is that easy.

Yeah, I want to rename the page essentially:

I can overtype what is currently in the Text field above (and save changes) but it has no effect on anything. The page stays the same. Same with the tooltip field.

If you change the field it should update the labels... Did you hit save?

Yes. And the changes save in the fields... but the page stays the same. Very odd.

Updating the title of the navigation item doesn't change the breadcrumb or title displayed on the /categories page. The navigation title only effects the title in the navigation.

Ah I see. Thanks @baris Do you happen to know how I can change the title displayed and breadcrumb? The term 'categories' is quite restricting for what we need it to do. Thanks so much in advance.

There is no way to change it through the ACP, you need a theme or a plugin to override the breadcrumbs & page title. Maybe nodebb-plugin-customize can help.
