Website's icon is not regcognized, version: 2.8.2

I updated to 2.8.2, I did not removeassets/uploads/system/favicon.ico. But my website's icon turns to be identical with this forum's icon. It looks like a bug?

public/favicon.ico and public/uploads/system/favicon.ico must be your favicon. It did still not work for me until I uploaded touch icons in Admin Tools. So make sure you have uploaded favicon and touch icons.

@crazycells Yea. I upgrade from 1.18 to 2.82 directly. For the past several years it does not have this issue. I assume it shouldn't change while upgrading. It looks now we need to do it manully. Let me try. I even dont have my favicon...first download it from my server

Alright, public/uploads/system/favicon.ico is my original one. I replaced this one: public/favicon.ico

Alright, I double checked, public/uploads/system/favicon.ico and public/favicon.ico are my own icon. I connected to the server, use cp to replace the wrong one. Now it still has the problem, wired..

@sharonyue you should restart nginx as this file is likely cached.
