Yeah I was only supporting cameroon because their left back plays for spurs, which is my team (hopefully @a_5mith isn't from London and a gooner, otherwise things are going down south soon). Even after all those idiotic decisions they still lost the match.

I wish I saw it, I'm supporting both the dutch and england, but am not expecting either to make it past the quarter finals at best. Even though the Dutch destroyed Spain, I'm still not expecting much. Don't forget they murdered Italy and France in the group of death in Euro 2008 and then played like crap when it counted. -

The header was great, but he could have easily taken a touch and passed it into the net without having anybody around him. The kudos should go to Daley Blind for the inch perfect pass from left back. That guy ain't so blind afterall...

@psychobunny I only really support Rugby teams, I've been to watch West Brom play once or twice though, so if they're on I'll watch/semi-support. Got to support the underdogs.

West Brom played real well the previous year when they had Romelu Lukaku on loan from Chelsea

Actually, I thought they played very well. Sterling and Sturridge and Johnson played very well. They just did not attack as often. They should figure out how to move the ball thru Sterling and Sturridge . The Italian #21 was just awful. wonder how he made the team.

@planner The finishing I found disappointing, so many shots on target, Rooney in space, panicked and shot it wide, free kicks lacking accuracy. Rooneys corner was just embarrassing. But I agree the midfield football was great.
I guess they played as expected.

If you did not watch the Nigeria vs Iran match, you spent your time very well. I just wasted more than 90 minutes watching the most boring, unimaginative football match ever. It was so bad even the crowd started booing.
Terrible. Thankfully, both teams will not make it past the group stages.

At least I was working while watching but it was a seriously boring game. Then again I guess we've been spoilt by the other goal-festsUSA game on the other hand, 1-0 after 32 seconds. Unbelievable Geoff!
I have a bit of a soft spot for Dempsey coz he used to play for Spurs, so I guess I'll be rooting for USA for that group anyways
