Windows 8.1 Plugin screws up install
-
Enabling the windows 8.1 plugin screwed up my nodebb. Any help on how to disable the plugin from the terminal? Or how to revert the screwup at all?
nodebb-plugin-metro-tiles is installed.
error: [meta/css] Could not minify LESS/CSS: './nodebb-plugin-metro-tiles/css/style.css' wasn't found
Not sure which current directory nodebb is looking from for the file. -
Do you mean nodebb-plugin-metro-tiles?
installed an incompatible plugin
So in your case.
./nodebb reset plugin="nodebb-plugin-metro-tiles"

Thanks. That got me live again. Is this in docs? Useful to know when needing to disable plugins from the terminal.

@dylenbrivera it's under the FAQ, the plugin system was changed for 0.4.x, so old plugins don't work unless they're updated, for now, check the github repo for recent commits (a month or 2) relating to upgrade compatibility for 0.4.x, 0.5.x should see another plugin system being added to the ACP with support for minimum version requirements.
As a side note @julian , I think information on disabling an incompatible plugin should also be included within the plugins section of the docs, as that was where I went to look for it before thinking to try FAQ. At least until the aforementioned plugin system is up and running, as it should be less of an FAQ then.

I very much agree, that was the first place I went to check. I didn't even think to check the FAQ.
