Tbf, I’ve never had an Apple product break from something other than water damage. I mostly meant that regrading software and replacing devices when the old one still works.

I might be if you started on Android but then transitioned to iPhone 15+ and iOS after Google started to cram too much LLM Bullshit into Android. Otherwise, I had been a Windows person first, before I couldn't tolerate Microsoft's BS any longer. I should've left some more tech history in there, but this meme is certainly my current self!

Hey twin, lol

I think I got the first iPhone 3G. Then I moved to android and my last android phone was google pixel 3. Changed to iPhone 13 and been with that ever since. Similar tech history for sure.

For the most part, I agree! I started with a dumb phone, moved on to the Samsung series of Android phones up until the inevitable would happen. I really liked those phones too, as theming is a passion of mine! Alas, if only the pivot to LLM BS never happened and it remained a mostly background affair. The autocorrect with better spellchecking/grammar were nice, but everything else is a PITA.

Guilty of being Ricer. I decided on Brave recently, although in terms of theming, Firefox definitely offers more.

Mmh, I see. This might be either a difference in language or culture then. In german it would not just be very rude to call someone paranoid, it's also definitely rhetorically linked to a state of mental illness (basically telling them they're fucked in the head / crazy). At least where I'm coming from.
-
ah yeah that makes sense certainly a regional/language thing. from my perspective, the word more just means an emotional state in the same way anxiety is an emotional state. disordered behavior or insult is not implied unless it’s explicit.

Currently at the crossroads from newborn paranoid into either this or tech paranoid, it's so joever
-
No, paranoia is not a medical term but also a word used to describe a feeling most humans get from time to time

I’m not sure I like being labeled “conservative”…
-
Yes. I like this way better than “tech conservative “
Well except for the Arch part. I’m not a masochist.
-
Conservative doesn't mean braindead.
It means keeping things the way they are. Like conserving the rain forest.
