In node_modules/your-theme-name/package.json

Make sure the theme's name matches the directory that you have it in. If it's set to nodebb-theme-vanilla, I could see there being a problem

Still can't do anything. I have the same problem on this install http://54.187.193.155:4567/
Everything is default, all plugins are disabled (reset).
I forwarded the admin account codes to @julian

Jesus christ it just started working again on our local install. Just made another stop / restart.
It is still stuck on our other install, at http://54.187.193.155:4567/
I won't restart the engine, so you guys can take a look at it.

@Giorgio-Chiodi That's interesting. I stopped/started my nodebb countless times.

If your NodeBB is already running (via ./nodebb start), ./nodebb reset plugins won't magically disable plugins on an already running install, you do need to ./nodebb restart to see the effect

@julian yep. Did that several times after resetting the plugins. And no matter how often I stop and start nodebb, it won't magically work. That's a real problem
I can invite you to take a look at it via TeamViewer. But I cannot show you more than you already know and see.
