Is there anyway to remove the word category and the category ID from the URL? Right now its https://website.com/forum/category/2/categoryname

I was hoping to have https://website.com/forum/categoryname

@MJ it's neither. You will have to rewrite the template file to match that (it's vanilla theme).

@pichalite The permissions are set where registered users have "Find Category" and "Access Category" set, but nothing else like "Access Topic", etc.

I want non-premium members to be able to see the categories and even the topic listings, just not any of the actual topic posts or replies.
Right now also in addition to the loopholes above, the "most recent posts" reveals some of the posts (but not enough to bother me much)...

I suppose a lot of this could be fixed by programming a custom template....

Woah! All three founders in one thread!

Yes, @psychobunny I just meant a simple way to indicate that no logo should be used in the normal site. Editing the templates would be an option, but it seems like it is a missing feature.

Change your config.json to domain.com:4567

Then use nginx to forward reverse proxy 80 to port 4567 using the example in NodeBBs documentation
