Tried this on mine, but no luck. Same issue. Verified that the fix made it in.
I was trying to switch to Apache instead of Nginx and I did all the instructions on https://docs.nodebb.org/configuring/proxies/apache/
But when I visit forums.mydomain.com, the default Apache welcome page appears.

You created a mongodb database user, not a NodeBB user. Creating NodeBB users is more complicated.
Well, I have upgraded to v1.1.2 and now it is shown.
