I've never really seen or understood the true value of a shout box but I'm open to other views - to me it seems to be an ambiguous duplication of forum function and often as an interface element in a forum, it always feels squeezed in.

That's my experience on other platforms.

Obviously, if nodeBB has a shout box it will be the best in the world!
