nodebb-plugin-recent-cards not working in carousel or pagination mode

Hi All,

I installed nodebb-plugin-recent-cards on AWS Linux2 running nodebb 1.8.

As soon as I switch to carousel mode, the plugin stops displaying cards (there is an empty bar with arrows on the left and right allowing pagination).

I checked out @psychobunny 's latest version from git, created a local plugin and installed the same with no luck (same issues).

Reloading the forum in both cases above did not help...

Any idea what I am possibly doing wrong?

Similar issue there is no Carousel Mode only four recent topics, any idea's how to fix it?
