You go to https://github.com/nodebb/nodebb/issues and click on "New Issue". If you don't already have an account it will ask you to create one, then you can report an issue.
We are going to be using NodeBB for our company user group. My supervisor has asked if during the user registration if we can ask for a couple of more fields. Specifically we want to know either the company or institution the user is with and also an instrument serial number.
What would be the process to get these added to our user database?
On that note, a fully written out "demo" config.json file (or even a couple of them, one for Mongo and one for Redis) would be a nice to have in the documentation article about the nodebb config (in addition to the explanations of what each entry does).
I'm willing to throw that together if others would find it useful.
I think I've seen this feature on other forum software (Discourse maybe) and definitely on Stack Exchange. You basically are not allowed to tag a topic unless the tag already exists.
