would it not be better to simply load any not-yet-loaded posts upon the pressing of CTRL+F
Unfortunately that wouldn't scale. If you pressed ctrl-F on page one of a 200 page topic, you'll explode your browser
Just wondering, how then would the current in-topic system avoid that problem when it's not erroneously redirecting you to the search page?
See, I always alienate somebody XD I figured having the ctrl-F-jacking only on the topic page would be less invasive, but somehow it's more.
The problem for me is the inconsistency: if every other page also exhibits the same or extremely similar behaviour (in this case, jumping to the search field up top), I wouldn't have a problem with it.
(Of course it's usually better not to override default browser functionality... hint hint )
@a_5mith believe nodebb-plugin-ns-awards was causing the issue for him. Issue resolved after disabling the plugin.
Today I reinstalled the plugin and activated the plugin again. The plugin works fine and the edit profile page is still working.
Maybe I did something wrong with the first time I installed the plugin
Thanks @a_5mith . Sorry for any confusion . Well, when you're looking at the home page whether logged in or logged out the "guest" pic is broken. Where it appears is if you click into the Category. For example, if I go to http://mynodebb and do not login the post shows a broken image, then if I login, and view the home page, the image for guest is still broken. However, if I click into the Desktop Support category, the image shows there (from within the category). The image with the gravatar address is coming in when viewing in the category.
As replied here https://community.nodebb.org/topic/2217/how-can-i-display-3-columns-in-the-lavender-homepage/2
Just change col-md-4 by col-md-2 And on the first category you need to add col-md-offset-1 aswell.
This method will only work with second solution. Or you can add col-md-2 col-md-offset-1 aswell on the first item in ACP after doing first solution.
