sudo apt-get install -y python-software-properties
sudo add-apt-repository -y ppa:rwky/redis
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install -y redis-server
The -y saves you having to confirm when it asks if you want to install.

Some what, I found that after posting this but it leaves me further confused. I downloaded putty and I guess I am going to need a .pem file and some codes that were used when the instsnce was created atleast thats what I am understanding atm.... I will try again tomorrow and see if I can make sense of all this. Thanks for the help.
