replace login page with auth0 sso widget

    I have setup a nodebb site and tested sso to my satisfaction. I would like to do two things:

    1. disable local auth
    2. setup a custom login page with the auth0 widget.

    Basically, I want to make auth0 the preferred login provider. If we simply disable the local login, going to login just gives you a list of alternate logins.

    How can I go about this?

    I do understand I can make a custom page with the custom-page-plugin. I should be able to get the widget and login buttons to appear there. I'm just not sure how to make the login button go to that route.

    I don't necessarily need to replace /login, I just want to make sure that clicking login or doing something requires login (such as replying to a topic) takes them to my custom login page.

    from time to time, when I open a topic in a wide full screen, I see something like this:

    The first post on the top of the page can be seen doubled and one of them is squeezed into the left edge of the page. How can I find the reason for this break, and how can I fix this when this happens again?

    It only occasionally happens (once a week or so); and usually, when I refresh the page, it goes back to normal. But this break is reported by other members of our forum as well.

    Thanks, that solved the problem for me as well, changing http to https. And as for you, I did not have this problem before 1.11.0

    But then an other problem turned up: "Invalid CSRF Token"

    My solution for this was what is written in the end (I use Apache2)

    for the record for people finding this via search, for apache2 you have to set this somewhere in your nodebb vhost configuration
    with ssl

    RequestHeader set X-Forwarded-Proto "https"

    without ssl

    RequestHeader set X-Forwarded-Proto "http"

    you might have to enable mod_headers to do so!

    So upgrading to 1.11.0 gave me a problem that had to be solved in 2 steps. First by changing in config.json, then I had to modify Apache2 settings.
