    You can just hard code to english but users using different languages will not be able to see them in their correct language. The correct values are here if you want to fix them https://github.com/NodeBB/NodeBB/blob/master/install/data/navigation.json#L26

    @waugh have you considered upgrading nodebb to the latest version? I think that will fix your issue

    I was wondering if there are any other editors available that are non-markdown that still allow for file uploads (pdf/doc) and not just image. I have tried the Redactor editor, but it seems to only supports images (if you upload a different file type other than image, it appears in the editor as a broken link image instead of link with the filename).

    There's two things i want to do.

    Shorten the teaser text Pull out a specific link to use as a button

    I think i figured it out though using something like { "hook": "filter:topics.get", "method": "teaserContentShort" }

    var Theme = { teaserContentShort: function (data, callback) { data.topics.forEach(topic => { topic.teaser.contentShort = topic.teaser.content.slice(0,20); }); callback(null, data); } };

    It seems to work. Hopefully thats not using the wrong paradigm.

    Text Widget | Parse as a Post: Not Functioning as Expected

    So I have an odd little issue. I am trying to use a plugin "shortcode" (or whatever the proper terminology is) in a Text widget but it is not working.

    Specifically I am trying to add [carousel{"items":1,"lazyLoad":false}] to a text widget. I do have the Parse as a Post? (Take all post-related plugins into effect) selected yet when I view the page that has the widget on it the Carousel plugin does not seem to be kicking in and doing what it should.

    Is there something I can add to make sure the "parse as a post" is doing what it should be doing?
