@xarph that's how Nintendo has always done D-pads! They just rely on the physical properties of the D-pad's plastic rocker to keep you from pressing opposite directions

I'm guessing for purity you'd want to crash it from the command prompt, and the program you use to crash can't have you write bad code (no BASICs or DEBUG) and you have to use a program that comes with DOS (no crashing CANTCODE.EXE)

@sillyCoelophysis I would really, really doubt it. This particular glitch just hardlocks the emulator, I don't think you can inject code or anything

@foone I'm surprised at how some of these end up surviving. Marvel vs Capcom 3 had a "hold both directions" bug that let you block both left and right at the same time - IIRC you could do it on a gamepad using dpad+analogue stick, same as that Zelda bug. Which is pretty bad for a fighting game!!
