putting blahaj in the wash always worries me. don't want sharkfriend to get mangled or lumpy.

@gsuberland if it was me i'd probably hand wash in the bath, but obviously that's a lot more time consuming

@kim it's the drying that's the problem. blahaj absorbs so much water, and spinning at high RPM is likely to mess up the stuffing. if you follow the official IKEA directions (30-40°C wash, delicates / wool, 800rpm spin) they come out dripping wet. they're suitable for tumble drying but only up to 60°C and most washer-dryers don't have a specific temperature limit setting. I had to dig out the manual to try to figure out which modes, if any, were suitable, and it's still rather vague.

@kim in my experience trying to dry very wet plushies externally (e.g. on a radiator or with a space heater) either leaves them fusty smelling because you used gentle heat and it took too long to dry, or with weird texture on the felt because the surface temperature got too high in order to dry fast enough.
luckily in this case blahaj has come out of the dryer just fine. I used the "dry enough to iron" setting which is the gentlest, and the last of the moisture can air out with a fan.

@gsuberland @kim washing machines should have a blahaj preset mode
