@baldur A followup on the AI image: Am I correct in assuming that Icelandic police don't usually wear bulletproof vests in their day-to-day duties?
-
@datarama They do wear protective utility vests as a part of the standard uniform, but I'm not sure if they're anti-stab or small-arms bulletproof. So that part isn't too off-base TBH.

@baldur Danish police has carried guns since 1965 (where four unarmed cops were killed by an escaping burglar), but the protective vests are a lot more situational. When I see them on the street, they're most often in regular uniform shirts or jackets.
(And they don't carry guns either at social functions like eg. social outreach to schools.)
