agree with some of the takes about botsin.space shutting down but not others. mastodon is intentionally hard to run for the same reason it doesn't have a real spec: because that makes website boy and budding website boy usurpers more powerful. software in fact can be made easier to run if you care about building a community around it and not using it for personal power
