Mastodon is great at a lot of things, making a coherant thread of replies everyone in a group can see is not one of them.

Admittedly, I also prefer to avoid Discord, but it felt fair to include it. I suspected pretty strongly though that this group would vote open source. -

@killyourfm I would love to join this, but I'm not particularly excited about having to create an account on yet another platform... I understand the reasons, but it becomes increasingly harder to have to track information across a dozen platforms.

@hk Totally fair concern, HK. The problem is that Mastodon makes tracking threads frustrating. Multiple people have expressed concern over that, and it's looking like Matrix might be where we land.
BUT... if we can brainstorm a simple way for people to participate in a minimum capacity right here on mastodon, I would welcome it.

@killyourfm I'm currently re-experiencing Super Mario Galaxy on the Wii... does this count as retro yet?

@schykle OH MAN I am dying to replay that! Yet another Mario game I started but never finished back in the day.
To your question: I think there's some debate on whether 6th or 7th gen is considered the starting point for retro games, but the Wii is almost 20 years old. I certainly consider it retro at this point.
