@vitriolix Nobody loses a war by choice. I don’t see any reason to think Russia would accept any bargaining over Kursk. It will drive out Ukrainian occupation forces sooner or later.

@vitriolix Unfortunately, Kyiv is not really in a position to set the terms of the ceasefire to come, given that the state headed by Zelensky probably cannot exist without foreign support. In other words, Ukraine’s Western sponsors (namely, the USA) will set the terms, especially with a more openly transactionalist incoming administration in Washington.
