I am using a custom Discord client and if I get banned then so be it. Discord should make their app on Linux work.

@fujiwara I’m curious what client! I always have issues when I try to stream or share my screen because Discord’s native app doesn’t capture game audio for some asinine reason.
-
@fujiwara I just use discord in the browser... There is a part of me that just hates the "appification" of websites. Like reddit. Why the fuck does reddit force you to use their app on mobile.
And also if I ave discord open in the browser, when I close the tab, its off. It's gone. Don't need to worry about it.
Btw what distro do you run? I've been running fedora basically the entire time I've been at uni and... it's nice.
Also flatpak discord sucks. I tried it. I deleted it. Browser supremacy.
-
@touketsu I’m using Vesktop! Screen sharing works with audio.
-
@oceaniceternity The reason I switched is because the app/webapp doesn’t support audio with screen sharing… no idea why. It works fine in custom clients.
I use EndeavourOS, I’m not one to get into distribution wars or anything though, I think they are all nice :ChikaHappy:
-
@fujiwara ah. The screenshareaudio version of discord. Jesus fucking Christ if they would just make something that worked...
-
@fujiwara re distro wars... Distro wars are boring. Tbh if I had a device that I didn't need to rely on for schoolwork I'd be more likely to try out distrls more often. Rn fedora is good because it just works.

@oceaniceternity I only use what I use because it’s the only one I haven’t broken yet :zerotwoevillaugh:
