It sounds like I need to evolve my thinking a bit. Whenever I make statements about the intentionality behind some of mastodon's feature decisions, it turns out I'm wrong and people show up to correct me. I don't mind that. But I'm realizing that I'd actually like to see more opinionated decisions about what they want the experience to be.

@polotek Slightly meta, but slightly not - the experience of clicking on the link you posted here is very bad compared to Twitter. I went to Favorite one of your posts, but I wasn't logged into that server, so it popped up a dialog asking me what my server was...
One of many uncanny valley issues - is Mastodon more like the Twitter clone it looks like or very fancy RSS subscriptions between disparate web sites?
