So, why does the American public not pay this much attention to each state's electors? -
@kotaro They do, but its a flawed system. A candidate can win the presidency without winning the popular vote, like Trump vs Clinton. Smaller states also have a disproportionately higher influence relative to their population size. Also look up the 3/5 compromise and its slavery history.
